NATIONAL PR CONCLAVE-2018
The day-long National PR Conclave-2018 was organised by IMS in association with Information and Public Relations Department and Utkal University to mark the National PR Day on April 21 in Bhubaneswar. Information and Public Relations and Law Minister Pratap Jena inaugurated the conclave in presence of Chairman of Press Council of India Justice Chandramauli Kumar Prasad.
In the age of digital communication, the conclave aimed at seeking to explore the significance of communication in the fast developing smart cities in the largest democracy of the world. Though traditional media like newspapers, radio and television cannot be set aside, the digital media impacts the society and facilitates instant communication. Thus, the profession of Public Relations must transform to gain greater acceptance as an inevitable part of strengthening democracy.
When the whole world is looking at India with hopes and passion and the fast moving technological developments are bringing the nations closer, it becomes more important that the public relations community does its best to interpret Indian companies to the world and also welcome the multinational companies to India by explaining them our strengths, values, traditions and culture.
The conference had brought together leading academicians, researchers and scholars in the field of public relations and corporate communications. While several corporate communication and PR practitioners, management / media consultants, advertising experts, development communicators, PR and Mass Communication students, scholars across the country will share their thoughts at the two-day conclave, more than 300 delegates will attend the meet.
In this regard, we request you to join the National PR Conclave and your august presence will enlighten the gathering on the issues and set the tone for the whole conclave.
